“We slept when we were tired and if we woke the other one woke too so one was not alone. Often a man wished to be alone and a girl wished to be alone too and if they love each other they are jealous of that in each other, but I can truly say we never felt that. We could feel alone when we were together, alone against the others.”—Ernest Hemingway (via animadvertistine)

Hey look, it’s an article about me. (And I wrote it lol pr problems).
“It no longer occurs to me to query the use of four-letter words, even when they are used gratuitously, as in “I missed the fucking bus.” I used to be a prude, but now I am a ruined woman. We had a discussion in the copy department a few weeks ago about how to style the euphemism: Shall it be “f”-word,” f word, f-word, “F” word, F word, or F-word? I don’t like any of them. Fuck euphemisms. Get on the goddam fucking bus.”—
“Every second the Universe divides into possibilities and most of these possibilities never happen. It is not a uni-verse – there is more than one reading. The story won’t stop, can’t stop, it goes on telling itself, waiting for an intervention that changes what will happen next.”—Jeanette Winterson, The Stone Gods (via wow-ialmostgaveafuck)
